Almost the entire world is under threat of pandemic due to coronavirus . The number of affected new cases and death toll due to this deadly virus is being skyrocketed sharply .Even though the number looks scary but the preventive measures are very simple and can be followed easily . Every authentic international and national health organizations and websites including World Health Organization ( WHO) , Center for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC) , and Coronavirus.gov are focusing on following effective preventive measures . Nepalese Association in Southeast America ( America ) kindly request you all respected community members to follow these basic protective measures against this new Coronavirus .
- Wash your hands frequently Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water.
- Maintain social distancing Maintain at least 6 feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick
- Practice respiratory hygiene Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
- If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.
- Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider Stay informed on the latest developments about COVID-19. Follow advice given by your healthcare provider, your national and local public health authority or your employer on how to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

वैज्ञानिकहरुले कोभिड–१९ नाम दिएको नयाँ कोरोना भाइरसबाट विश्वमा आज सम्म धेरै व्यक्तिहरूको मृत्यु भएको समाचार आएको छ । विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठनले यस कोभिड–१९ भाइरसको सङ्क्रमण विश्वका धेरै देशमा फैलिएको जनाएको छ । सुरुमा चीनमा मात्र सिमीत रहेको यो सङ्क्रमण दक्षिण कोरिया , इरान र ईटाली हुँदै विश्वमा नै फैलिन थालेकोले यस अवस्थालाई विश्व स्वास्थ्य संगठनले नै चिन्तापूर्ण अवस्थाका रुपमा बिश्व महामारी भएको जनाएको छ ।यता विश्वका देशहरुले यो सङ्क्रमणका विरुद्धमा व्यापक मात्रामा लडिरहेका बेला चिकित्सकहरुले यो एक पटक निको भएको अनुमान लगाईएकोमा पुन सङ्क्रमण फर्किन पनि सक्ने बताएका छन् । निको भएर घर फर्किएका यस्ता बिरामीहरुमा पुनः यसको सङ्क्रमण देखिएको जापान र चीनबाट आएको विवरणहरूमा जनाइएको छ ।निको भएका भनिएका ती मानिसको शरीरमा भाइरस पूर्ण रूपमा नष्ट नभइसकेको र यससम्बन्धी परीक्षणहरू पनि सधैँ सही नहुने भएकोले पनि सङ्क्रमितहरु लाई फेरि दोहोरिएको अनुमान चिकित्सकहरुले जनाएका छन् । वैज्ञानिकहरु यस प्राणघातक सङ्क्रमणको औषधिको खोजीमा लागेका छन् । तर अहिलेसम्म सम्भव भईसकेको छैन । हाल विश्वका कैयौँ देशमा यसको सङ्क्रमण फैलिइरहेको छ र यसबाट विश्व नै त्रसित बनेको छ ।कोरोना भाइरसका कारण अमेरिकामा मात्रै मृत्यु हुनेको संख्या यो बिज्ञप्ती तयार पार्दा सम्म १७१ पुगेको छ । सङ्क्रमित हुनेको संख्या भने ११ हजार नाघेको छ ।यस परिस्थितिमा आफु र आफ्नो परिवार सुरक्षित रहनु नै महत्वपुर्ण कुरा हो ।
“ उपचार भन्दा रोकथाम गर्नु नै सबै भन्दा राम्रो हो “ यो प्रकोपको समयमा सबै हाम्रो समाजको आदरणिय सदस्यहरू घर परिवार सहित सजग रहि , रोकथामको उपायहरू पूर्ण र सहि ढंगले अबलम्बन गर्दै सुरक्षित रहनु हुन नासा हार्दिक अपिल गर्दछ । बिश्व स्वास्थ संगठन ( WHO ) र रोग नियन्त्रण तथा रोकथाम केन्द्र ( CDC अमेरिका ) बाट प्रकाशित COVID – 19 को रोकथामको उपायहरू अबलम्बन गर्नु र सो बारेको लक्षणहरू संम्बन्धी जानकारी राख्नु यति बेला मुख्य प्राथमिकताको बिषय बनेको छ ।

Call for an Essay Contest on “ Visit Nepal 2020 “
On behalf of Nepalese Association in Southeast America ( NASeA ) , it is my immense pleasure to let you know all again that NASeA has officially endorsed “ Visit Nepal Year 2020 “ event . It had announced 19 points various events to promote VNY 2020 here in America .
Out of these various events , ESSAY CONTEST on “ Visit Nepal 2020 “ is one of the very important, informative and attractive event . Our Joint Secretary and committee chair of “ Women’s and Children Committee “ Ms Rama Ghimire is coordinating this event . All details about this event is attached . Main important info of these attachments are :
- Essay will be written in English on the topic “ Visit Nepal 2020 “ for this contest . This contest is open for all without any geographical boundary .
- Maximum words for the essay is 1500 . Words on Title and Bibliography will not be counted .
- Deadline date to submit essay is 1159 PM of 29 Feb 2020, Saturday.
- Winners will be announced on 09 March 2020, Monday .

Nepal is celebrating the year 2020 as a national tourism year as “Visit Nepal 2020” with a target of bringing two million tourists to Nepal. NASeA has officially endorsed and tried to promote Visit Nepal 2020. It is our pleasure to announce that NASeA is organizing an essay contest on “Visit Nepal 2020” in to attract more tourists to Nepal.
This contest is open for two different groups of authors: General group, open for all, and College and High School Students. However, any interested contestant can write essay on any of these categories. The authors are to submit their essays in pdf form to vny2020.essay@naseaonline.org. The goal of these contests is to highlight Nepal throughout the world and to promote the Nepalese government’s vision to develop Nepal as major tourist destination. The documents should be limited to 1500 words with plenty of pictures.
General Category: The essay in the general category should highlight major tourist attractions in Nepal, and should be informative and persuasive in order to promote the Visit Nepal 2020 initiative, and include any recommendations to the specific destinations and their specialties.
High School and College Students: The intent of this essay is to introduce Nepal and its rich natural, cultural, biological, and historical heritage to universities and schools. Many universities and colleges offer study abroad programs. This category essay should promote academic programs such as study abroad, service learning courses or the student exchange to Nepal from different universities and schools.
An official panel will be judging the essays and the committee’s decision will be the final decision. First, second, and third of each category will be awarded by 250, 150, and 100 dollars respectively. The essay will be published in the NASeA publication, Shangri-La on Visit Nepal Special edition.
Judging criteria:
1. Scope of research (40%) 2. Originality (20%) 3. Organization of content (10%) 4. Logic development (10%) 5. Completeness (10%) 6. Reference and links (10%)

“ कुनै पनि राष्ट्रको भौगोलिक अखण्डता प्रति कुनै पनि राष्ट्रले सम्मान गर्ने र मर्यादा राख्नु पर्ने अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय मूल्य , मान्यता , प्रचलन , सहज बुझाई र बाध्यात्मक अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय कानुनि परिस्थिति पनि भएको ब्यहोरालाई मनन गर्दै सत्य तथ्यकै आधारमा महाकाली नदी पूर्बको कालापानी लिपुलेक लगायतको हाल चर्चामा आएको केही भूभागहरू नेपालको नै हो भन्ने ठम्याई नासा को पनि रहेको छ । हालसालै मित्र राष्ट्र भारतले प्रकाशित गरेको राजनैतिक नक्सामा उपरोक्त भूभागहरू नेपालको भूभागमा नदेखाई अन्यथा हुन गएकोले यथासिध्र दुबै राष्ट्रहरूको सरकारको उच्च स्तरिय प्रतिनिधि मण्डलमार्फत सत्य तथ्य कै आधारमा यथार्थतामा कत्ति पनि आँच र घटि नआउने गरि अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय सीमा सम्बन्धीको यो भारत द्वारा बनाईएको बिबादित बिषय यथाशीघ्र सभ्य र सौहार्दपूर्ण बाताबरणमा राजनैतिक र कुटनैतिक तबर बाटै समाधान होस् भन्ने नासाको अधिकारिक धारणा रहेको जानकारी सहित पौराणिक काल देखि नै अति सुमधुर र सौहार्दपूर्ण मैत्री संम्बन्ध रही आएको यी दुई छिमेकी राष्ट्रहरू बिच सोही बमोजिम कै संम्बन्धमा अझ बढ़ी प्रगाढ़ता थपी यस्तो दरिलो र न्यानो संम्बन्ध अनन्त काल सम्म रहि रहोस् भन्ने सर्वत्र चाहनाको लागि नासा हार्दिक शुभकामना समेत ब्यक्त गर्दछ ।
अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय सीमा सिद्धान्तअनुसार सीमा जोडिएका दुई देशबीच कुरा मिलेन भने त्यसको न्यायिक उपचारको लागि मध्यस्थता खोज्न सकिने ब्यबस्था भएको र त्यस्तो मध्यस्थता बाट पनि दुबै संम्बन्धित राष्ट्रहरू राज़ी हुन सकेनन् भने यस्तो संम्बेदनशिल बिषयलाई अन्तर्राष्ट्रीयकरण गरि अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय न्यायालय सम्म पनि पुग्नु पर्ने परिस्थिति स्वभाविक हुने भएकोले सो स्वभाबकिता नै नआओस् भन्नाको लागि कुटनैतिक र राजनैतिक तबरबाटै संम्बन्धित दुई राष्ट्रहरूले यथाशीघ्र यो बिषय टुंगो लगाउन सफलता पाउन भन्ने शुभकामना पनि नासाको तर्फबाट हामी ब्यक्त गर्न चाहान्छौ ।

अमेरिकाको एटलाण्टा शहरमा “ नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२० “ प्रबर्धनको लागि भब्य रूपमा क़ानून मंत्री माननीय भानुभक्त ढकालको प्रमुख आतिथ्यमा समुद्घाटन समारोह सम्पन्न ! अमेरिकी जर्जिया राज्यको सिनेटर द्वारा एटलाण्टामै नेपाल दिबश घोषणा गर्ने तर्फ तयारि र सिनेटर नै २०२० मा नेपाल जाने प्रतिज्ञा !!! नासाको आगामी कार्यक्रमको लागि १९ बुंदे कार्यक्रम सूचि प्रकाशित !!!
नेपालको कानुन, न्याय तथा संसदीय मामिला मंत्री माननीय भानुभक्त ढकालको प्रमुख आतिथ्य र अमेरिकाको जर्जिया राज्यको सिनेटर द्वय स्टिभ हेल्सन र शेख रहमानको उपस्थितिमा नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२० को प्रबर्धन समुद्घाटन समारोह नेपालिज एसोसियसन ईन साउथईष्ट अमेरिका (नासा) ले नेपालिज एसोसियसन अफ जर्जिया (नाग) को सहयोगमा अमेरिकाको एटलाण्टा शहरमा यहि शनिबार ०९ नोभेम्बर २०१९ मा भब्य रूपले सम्पन्न गरेको छ ।
नेपाल सरकारले आगामी बर्ष २०२० मा घटिमा पनि २० लाख बिदेशि पर्यटकहरू नेपाल भित्रयाउने योजना लाई प्रतक्ष्य टेवा पुर्याउने उद्देश्यले नासाको गुरू योजना र पहलतामा आयोजित यो बिशेष समारोहमा जर्जीया राज्यका सिनेटर स्टिभले जर्जिया राज्यमा बसोबास गर्नु हुने सबै नेपालीहरूको उच्च सम्मानार्थ एटलाण्टामा नेपाल दिबश बिधिबत रूपमा घोषणा गराउनको लागि ज़र्जीया सिनेटमा लिखित प्रस्ताव पेश गर्ने जानकारी गराउनु र जर्जीया राज्यकै अर्का सिनेटर शेख़ रहमानले संसारकै सुन्दर राष्ट्रहरूमा पर्ने नेपालको भ्रमण आज भन्दा पहिला नै आफूले गरिसकेको भए पनि “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” लाई सफल पार्न २०२० मा आफू फेरी नेपाल भ्रमणमा जाने प्रतिज्ञा गर्नु भएको क्षण यो उद्घाटन समारोहको उल्लेखनीय उपलब्धिको रूपमा देखिएको छ।
उद्घाटन समारोहको दिनबाटै आगामी बर्ष २०२० को पूरै समयमा दक्षिण पूर्वी अमेरिकी राज्यहरूको बिभिन्न शहरहरूमा बिभिन्न कार्यक्रमहरू सहित “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” लाई सहयोग गर्ने गरि गुरू योजना बनाएको नासाले निम्न लिखित कार्यक्रमहरू आगामी समयमा आयोजना हुने जानकारि समेत सो समारोहमा गराईएको थियो।
नासाले आगामी समयमा गर्ने बिभिन्न कार्यक्रमहरूको को रूपरेखा सहितको सूची यस प्रकार छ।
१. “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को प्रतिक चिन्ह (Logo) सहितको सो कार्यक्रम बारे जानकारी पाउन सकिने सूचनामूलक पोस्टरहरू अमेरिकाको ब्यस्त राजमार्गहरूको चौबाटोमा अबस्थित यात्रु प्रतीक्षालय र क्षणिक आरामको लागि बनाएको बेन्च हरूमा राखेर प्रचार गर्ने। जर्जीया को एटलाण्टा शहरको ४ वटा छुट्टाछुट्टै ठांउमा यो कामको थालनी भईसकेको छ। परिस्थिति, समय र आर्थिक उल्झनलाई समेत बिचार गरेर यो कार्यक्रम अन्य शहरहरूमा पनि कार्यान्वयन गरिने छ।
२. “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” र नासा को प्रतिक चिन्ह अंकित फ़ेसबुक पेजको लागि नासाले भर्खरै बनाएको प्रोफ़ाईल फ़ोटो फ़्रेम सबैले आ आफ्नो ब्यक्तिगत फ़ेसबुकमा परिबर्तन गरि यो कार्यक्रम लाई सहयोग गरिदिन हुन अनुरोध गर्ने। समुद्घाटन समारोह बाटै यो कार्यक्रम पनि शुरू भई सकेको छ।

४. “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को शिर्षकमा प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक निबन्ध प्रतियोगिता को आयोजना गर्ने र उत्कृष्ट बिजयी निबन्धलाई बिभिन्न संचार माध्यम द्वारा “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” लाई सहयोग हुने मनशायले प्रचार प्रसार गर्ने।
५. बिभिन्न शहर तथा महानगरहरूको टाउन हल बैठकमा स्थानिय नेपालीहरू गएर “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को बारेमा अबगत गराउन अनुरोध गर्ने।
६. “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को कार्यक्रम संग संम्बन्धित बिभिन्न पोष्टर तथा सूचना मूलक कागजहरू पुस्तकालय, बिभिन्न ब्यबसायिक बाणिज्य घर, भवन तथा उपयुक्त अन्य स्थल तथा क्षेत्रहरूमा प्रदर्शन गरेर प्रचार प्रसार गर्ने।
७. “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को लागि नासा क्षेत्रको मुख्य महानगर (हरू) मा एउटा वा बढ़ीमा दुई वटा सम्म बिशाल पैदल वा गाड़िमा नेपाल र नेपालीहरूको मातृ परिचय प्रदर्शित हुने गरि आकर्षक झांकी सहितको बिशेष कार्यक्रम आयोजना गर्ने।
८. “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” संग सम्बन्धित शब्दावली र प्रतिक चिन्ह सहितको ब्यक्तिगत सबारि साधनको लागि बम्पर स्टिकर बनाएर बितरण गर्ने।
९. बिभिन्न क़िसिमको ब्यापार ब्यवसायमा लागि परिरहनु भएका नेपाली उद्धमी हरूसंग समन्वय गरि “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को बारेमा लेखिएको शब्दावली छापेर प्लाष्टिक सपिगं ब्याग बितरण गर्ने।
१०. नेपाली बिध्यार्थी संगठन भएका बिश्वबिद्ध्यालयहरूमा “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” संग संम्बन्धित सूचना प्रबाह गर्न समन्वय गर्ने।
११. स्थानिय एफ एम रेडियो तथा दूर दर्शन स्टेशन संग सम्पर्क गरेर “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को बारेमा जानकारि गराउने उद्देश्यको बार्तालाप कार्यक्रम आयोजना गर्ने।
१२. नासा क्षेत्र अन्तर्गत को सबै नेपाली संगठनहरू को कुनै पनि कार्यक्रममा २०२० बर्ष भरि नै “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को बारेमा केही जानकारी गराउनै पर्ने भनी सो बमोजिम कार्यक्रम तय गर्न अनुरोध गर्ने।
१३. स्थान बिशेषमा आयोजना हुने अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय फुड, सांगितीक र सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रममा सहभागि भई “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” बारे जानकारी गराउने।
१४. सरकारी नगर यात्रु बसहरूमा ठुलो आकारको “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को स्टिकर राख्न पहल गर्ने।
१५. स्थानिय चलचित्र भबनमा बिशेष गरि सप्ताहान्त को प्रस्तुति अगाड़ी “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” बारेमा बिज्ञापन गराउन पहल गर्ने।
१६. बाल बालिका चित्र कला प्रतिस्पर्धा गराई उत्कृष्ट चित्र कलालाई मौन लिलामीमा (Silence Auction) राख्ने।
१७. “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को बारेमा केन्द्रित रहेर घटिमा ३ वटा नासाको मासिक टक प्रोग्राम (Monthly Talk Program) गर्ने।
१८. नासाको हरेक ३ महिनामा प्रकाशित हुने मुखपत्र “सांग्रिला” को एउटा बिशेषांक “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को लागि प्रकाशित गर्ने।
१९. “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” को प्रतिक चिन्ह सहितको अमेरिकी हुलाक टिकट (Customized Stamp) छाप्ने।
यतिखेर नेपाल बाहिर रहनुभएका सबै नेपालीसंग मातृराष्ट्र नेपालले “नेपाल भ्रमण बर्ष २०२०” लाई पूर्ण समर्थन सहित घटिमा पनि २० लाख बिदेशी पर्यटक नेपाल पठाईदिन सहयोगको अपेक्षा गरेकोले तपाईं हामी सबै मिलि यो बिशेष कार्यक्रम लाई भब्य रूपले सफल गराउन नासा कार्यसमिति को तर्फबाट हार्दिक अनुरोध गर्दछु।

Invitation to attend the Inauguration Ceremony to promote “Visit Nepal 2020”
On behalf of NASeA, this is my immense pleasure to know about the “ Visit Nepal 2020 “ program of Nepal’s government . Under this program , Nepal is expecting to visit this beautiful country with the land of the tallest peak in the world Mount Everest and the birthplace of lord Buddha by at least two millions foreigners during the all year long of 2020 . Nepal Government had also requested and expects the help ,support , cooperation. participation and promotion for this program from all Nepalese who are residing out of Nepal for the grand success of this national event .
Having considered all these about Nepal’s national event , Nepalese Association In Southeast America ( NASeA) had officially endorsed this event and is planing to organize various activities to promote this event .
To kick off the first promotional activity , NASeA in support with Nepalese Association of Georgia ( NAG ) is organizing the inauguration ceremony in the presence of the minister for law , justice and parliamentary affairs of Nepal’s government Honorable Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal as a chief guest on following date , time and venue .

Dear Community Members,
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today announced a Federal Register notice extending the validity of TPS-related documentation for beneficiaries under the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for NEPAL through Jan. 4, 2021.
The notice automatically extends the validity of Employment Authorization Documents; Forms I-797, Notice of Action; and Forms I-94, Arrival/Departure Record (collectively, TPS-related documentation). The validity dates for the affected Nepal is as under .
Current Expiration Date – 24 Mar 2020
New Expiration Date – 04 Jan 2021
NASeA had always been advocating and extending its solidarity and help to extend the validity of TPS-related documentation for beneficiaries under the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for NEPAL On behalf of NASeA Executive board , with a great pleasure , we would like to take this opportunity to extend our sincere thanks to the Government of United States of America for this consideration and wish all the best for the Nepalese populations to those under this TPS status for their better immigration status in the days ahead.
