 ” Coding and Gaming for kids “ on 22 @ 1-2 PM and 29 July @ 6-7 PM

 

 

On behalf of NASeA Exec committee , We hope this email finds you all in good health and shape along with your beautiful families during this pandemic . As you all are aware that during this difficult time , NASeA has been organizing many Health and other community related activities along with series of virtual cultural events . NASeA has been organizing many health awareness events particularly concerning COVID 19 , monthly talk sessions concerning the community related issues , youth activities by our youth committee themselves , Yoga mediation and discussion about mental health issues during this lock down situation to maintain social distancing .So far we have targeted our adults and youth audiences for various activities . We have been missing our children with the age group of less than 10 years . We know that this group is , indeed the most affected group during this time who might have feeling boring to stay home continuously for extended time . So to engage and address this group , NASeA’s women’s and children committee has planned e to organize “ Coding and Gaming for kids “ along with interactive session with them to share their wishes and thoughts on following date and time via zoom conferencing as mentioned below .

Date – Wednesday , 22 July 1-2 PM
             Wednesday, 29 July 6-7 PM

This event will be led by the member of NASeA’s youth committee Ms Ozashwee Ghimire. NASeA executive committee would like to thank women and children’s committee chair Mrs Rama Ghimire and the entire committee team for organizing this important and pertinent valuable event for our kids . We are also proud of Ms Ozashwee Ghimire and express our sincere thanks for her help and time to lead this event . NASeA also kindly requests  to all kids and respective parents to join this event to make it more interactive and beneficial.

On behalf of NASeA , it is my pleasure to share with you all about the ABI KATTEL MEMORIAL ACADEMIC SCHLORSHIPS for the college bound high school graduates. . First and second winners will be awarded with $ 1500 and $ 1000 respectively .Due to Corona Virus pandemic this year 2020, application deadline has been extended from April 30 to July 15, 2020. Eligibility Requirements

Currently accepted in an undergraduate program at an institution for higher learning.
Proof of graduation from high school at the time of application.
Applicants must be full/part-time students in an educational institution.
Application must be postmarked no later than April 30 of the year. (Note: Due to Corona Virus pandemic this year 2020, we will accept application till July 15, 2020)

Mailing Instruction

A complete application package including the following documents:

Completed application form in English
An acceptance letter (a copy) from an accredited college or university.
One reference letter (from the school)
High School Transcripts
Typed, double-spaced essay (not more than two pages)
One page Extra curricular activities (as per application form)

Application review:

The scholarship application review will begin August of the year by the Abi Kattel Memorial Scholarship committee (three members).
The Abi Kattel Memorial Scholarship committee chair will notify (electronically) the Award Recipient by September. Award amount will be mailed to the recipient not later than First week of November of the year.

Note: No applications or associated documentation will be returned to applicants. Recipient’s photo and name will be posted on the Abi Kattel Memorial Foundation website (www.abikattelfoundation.org).
Once the recipient receives an award winning notification she/he should
respond a letter of acceptance (including the required documents of the AKMF scholarship) within a month along with a photo to post on the website.

Important: Unable to receive a letter of acceptance from the recipient within a month will be considered as declining the scholarship award. In such cases, an alternate candidate will be awarded the AKM scholarship.

On behalf of Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA), we hope all our respected community members are safe with their respective families during this pandemic. We are also observing many demonstrations with civil unrest in many major cities of America in recent days . We have been hearing about many clashes between protestors and the security forces in many locations in the United States of America .

NASeA is always in favor of PEACE at all the times everywhere .NASeA is always advocating for the prevailing of justice everywhere all the times in any case . NASeA always supports the preservation of human rights and condemns any kind of brutality and discrimination on basis of race , color , sex , religious or belief , political ideology , caste and social class . NASeA also strongly supports and honors the constitution of all states and America including the freedom of speech , press, expression  and peaceful assembly  to protest on any controversial issue(s) . In the name of peaceful demonstration, NASeA strongly condemns any kind of unlawful activities  . Any one who is found guilty legally must be punished immediately as per the laws of that  respective nations . NASeA is always in against of any kind of racism anywhere in the world .

हालै अन्तरराष्ट्रीय  सिमानाको सत्य  तथ्य लाई समेत वास्ता नगरि एक पक्षिय ढंगले  मित्रराष्ट्र भारतले नेपालको भूमिमा बाटो बनाई भुमी समेत अधिकरण गरेको  प्रति नेपालिज् एसोसियसन ईन साउथईष्ष्ट अमेरिका (नासाको गम्भीर ध्यानाकर्षण  आपत्ति !!!

Bio of Manaswi Sangraula 

Manaswi is a yoga instructor who received her certification in Washington DC. She has been teaching yoga for over 5 years. She has taught to a variety of populations including to adolescents, seniors, and survivors of domestic violence. She has taught in yoga studios in Washington DC, NYC and Kathmandu, Nepal. Manaswi is passionate about health and wellness and is current completing her PhD in public mental health.
