Please find below the announcement from the NASeA Election Committee 2025 regarding all Nominations for the Board of Directors and Officers 2025-2027 of the Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA).
NASeA Election 2025 Timeline:
1. Membership Drive Valid By- Thursday, July 31, 2025: 11:59 PM
~NASeA Election committee requests that all its general and life members be paid-up members of NASeA by ThursdayJuly 31, 2025, 11:59 PM, to be candidates and eligible to vote in this election. Please visit the NASeA website and click the link to be a member via PayPal.

2. First list of voters published- Friday, August 08, 2025: 11:59
~First List of Voters published on NASeA website.

3. Claim, Correction on Voter list- By Monday, August 11, 2025, by 11:59 PM
~Any disputes or claims in the published Voters list.
4. Final Voter list published – August 13, 2025:
~Final Voters List published on the NASeA website by Wednesday, August 13, 2025,11.59 PM
5. Nominations of Candidate – Thursday, August 14, start at 10. am, End Sunday, August 17, 11:59 PM:
~NASeA’s Election Committee invites nominations from its members to serve as Officers of the Board for a two-year term beginning August 31, 2025.
The nominations are available for the following Positions:
President (1)
Executive Vice President (1)
Vice President (1)
General Secretary (1)
Joint Secretary (1)
Treasurer (1)
Board (Executive) Members (15)
Interested members can either self-nominate or be nominated by other individuals who are dues-paying members of NASeA as of July 31, 2025. Nominations must be received by the Election Committee by Sunday, August 17, 2025, by 11.59 PM for consideration.
Nominations must be submitted by following the guidelines and procedures as described below.
The nominee must:
– Be a NASeA member in good standing.
– Has attained the age of 18 years by the filing deadline. – Has been a NASeA member, filing all dues by July 31 as announced.
– In the case of the President, in addition to the above three requirements, has served as a Board officer or a Member for at least one term (2 years)
Nomination procedures: While submitting a nomination, the following procedures must be followed:
– One individual is eligible to compete for only one position. – A nominator must send a nomination for one nominee for one position only.
– The following information about the nominator must be provided:

e. Member as of July 31, 2025: Yes or No
– The position being nominated must be specified. – The following details for each nominee must be provided:

– A statement must be provided by the nominator that, to his/her best knowledge, the nominee is eligible for the position according to the nomination guidelines described above and in the bylaws. –
Nomination must be submitted no later than
Sunday, August 17, 2025, by 11:59 PM.
– Nomination must be submitted to the correct email address at:

Only nominations sent to the e-mail address above will be considered by the Election Commission. Any email with questions or comments about the nomination process and election will not be entertained or replied to.
6. Publication of the First list of Candidates – August 19, 2025 by 11.59 PM:
~Preliminary candidate lists will be published on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025, by 11.59 PM
7. Withdrawal/Claim and Complaint of Candidates – August 21, 2025, by 11.59 PM:
~Withdrawal/Claim and complain of candidate validity deadline for Candidates from various positions will be till Thursday,
August 21, 2025, by 11:59 PM.
8. Final list of candidates- August 22, 2025 by 11:59 PM:
~ The Final List of candidates will be published on Friday, August 22nd, 2025, by 11:59 PM.
9. Election Campaign- August 22-28, 2025:
~All candidates are advised to perform their election campaign during this time frame.
10. End of election campaign- August 28:
~Election campaign ends by Thursday, August 28, by 11:59 PM. All Candidates are advised to strictly follow this protocol.
11. Election date – August 31, 2025, from 3 PM to 7 PM
~NASeA Election for Officers 2025-27 will be held on Sunday, August 31, from 3 PM to 7 PM, before fulfilling the following obligations and guidelines set by the executive committee. As officially announced and approved by the NASeA Executive board meeting held on August 26, 2025, the NASeA Executive Committee Election 2025 entire election process will be tabled at the NASeA AGM, which will be held over Labor Day weekend for ratification. Upon approval, the NASeA Election for the Executive 2025-27 will be held by secret ballot. NASeA Election Committee 2025 firmly stands to reinforce the guidelines as approved by the executive committee and the By-Laws to conduct free and fair elections.
