Congratulations! Siddharth Galulee for being the recipient of $2000.00 of 2016 Prahlad & Bindu Pant Scholarship Award. On behalf of Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) together with NASeA Academic and Professional Committee, Chair Dr. Manoj K. Jha and the Executive members, it is our great pleasure to share with you all that Siddharth Galulee from Gainesville, Florida as the winner of $2000.00 “2016 Prahlad & Bindu Pant Scholarship Award”. As per official announcement received from the Chair of Academic and Professional Committee, NASeA, Dr. Manoj K. Jha, Mr. Galulee has been declared the winner for this year’s Prahlad and Bindu Pant $2000.00 Scholarship award. He has received his high school graduation from Gainesville High School (Gainesville, FL) in 2015 and currently enrolled in the University of Louisiana at Monroe for his undergraduate study.
Mr. Gaulee please be advised to attend the 12th ANMA/NASeA Joint Convention 2016 to be held during Sept. 2-4, 2016 in St. Louis, MO during the Cultural Program to receive this cash award. With this note, please join me in saluting respected Dr. Prahlad Pant and Bindu Pant for establishing this prestigious award “Prahlad & Bindu Pant Scholarship Award” to help and financially support the needy youths of our Nepali American community in the US to complete their dream of higher studies. NASeA is proud to be the administrator of this prestigious award and I extend special thanks to Academic and Professional Committee, Chair Dr. Jha and his team members for the outstanding work in completing the task of selection process of this award.
Awarded on the basis of student’s financial needs Managed by Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) A. Beginning in 2013, an annual $2,000 (Two Thousand US Dollars) scholarship award has been established by Dr. Prahlad and Bindu Pant. This award is managed and coordinated by Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA). B. This scholarship is awarded annually to one student on the basis of the financial needs of the student and not on the basis of merit. C. The scholarship award is open to any freshman or sophomore undergraduate student of Nepali origin (one or both parents from Nepal) residing in the United States, who is a US high school graduate and has been admitted as a full-time student to a US college or university. D. The selection process involves completing the application form together with all the documents (listed in no. 15 in page 3 of this application form) and the verification of the total annual income of the student and/or the student’s parents. E. NASeA’s Academic and Professional committee will make the selection on the basis of the financial needs of the applicant, and its decision will be final. F. Please complete the application form in the next page and submit all required documents listed in no. 15 of page 3 and send it by email (mkjha@ncat.edu) to Academic and Professional Committee Chair, Dr. Manoj K. Jha. The application deadline is August 13, 2016. G. The decision on the winner and a runner-up of the award will be made by August 20, 2016 or at the earliest possible date thereafter. H. The award will be presented during the 12th ANMA/NASeA Joint Convention in St. Louis, MO (September 2-4, 2016) during the cultural program event. The Association of Nepalese in Midwest America (ANMA) the Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) are announcing the annual student writing contest. The contest is open to all high school, middle school, and elementary school students living in North America. The goal of this contest is to increase awareness of Nepali culture in order to preserve our culture and ultimately gain a better understanding of ourselves.
