नयॉ भन्ने शब्दै सुन्दर , सुन्दै मिठो र हेर्दै राम्रो हुन्छ । मानब जिबनको प्रत्येक पाइला र पलमा यो शब्दले सधैं ऊर्जा , उमंग , जोश , जॉगर , उत्साह , खुलदुली , कल्पना र परिकल्पना उत्पन्न गराउंछ ।नब सालको सन्दर्भमा पनि यो शब्द झनै प्यारो, लोकप्रिय , सार्थक र उपयोगि ठहर्छ।

यो नेपाली नयॉ बर्ष बि. सं. २०७५ को नब बर्ष सॉझमा यो शब्दको बिशेषण बमोजिम हामीलाई पनि ब्यक्तिगत , परिबारीक र सामाजिक हिसाबले हाम्रो समाज प्रति झनै परिपक्क , अनुभबी , ज़िम्मेबारि र बिगतमा केही कमि कमजोरि र सुधार गर्नु पर्ने कुनै बिषय भए सो बमोजिम सुधार गरि अझ नयॉ जोश , जॉगर , आशा , अठोट र समाजमुखि कामको लागि दृढ़ संकल्प सहित अगाडी बढ्न उजागर गरेकोले उपरोक्त प्रतिबद्धताका साथ दक्षिण पूर्बी अमेरिकी राज्यहरूमा बसोबास गर्नु हुने नेपालीहरूको साझा संगठन नेपालिज् एसोसियसन ईन साउथईष्ट अमेरिका ( NASeA) कार्यसमिति हामी सबैको तर्फबाट यो नयॉ बर्ष बि. सं. २०७५ को शुभ उपलक्ष्यमा संसार भरि छरिएर रहनु भएका सबै मान्यवर नेपालि समुदायमा हजुरहरूको सुस्वास्थ , दिर्घायू , खुशियाली , उत्तरोत्तर प्रगति र संबृद्धी को लागि हार्दीक मंगलमय शुभकामना ब्यक्त गर्दछौं ।

नमस्कार !

हिन्दु पौराणिक कथानुसार , त्रेता युगमा दैत्यराज हिरण्यकश्यपुले विष्णुभक्त आफ्ना पुत्र प्रह्लादलाई मार्ने उद्देश्यले ब्रह्माबाट आगोले छुन नसक्ने वरदान पाएकी आफ्नी बहिनी होलिकालाई प्रह्लादका साथ दन्किरहेको आगोमा पस्न लगाउँदा होलिका आफैँ भष्म भएकी तर भक्त प्रह्लादलाई आगोले छुन नसकेको कथा यो पर्वसँग जोडिएको छ ।

त्यसै बेलादेखि शक्तिको दुरूपयोग गर्ने पापी प्रवृत्तिको प्रतीक बनेकी होलिका मारिएको उपलक्ष्यमा होली (फागु) खेल्ने परम्परा चलेको मानिन्छ ।

यसैगरी, द्वापरयुगमा श्रीकृष्ण भगवानलाई मार्न कंशद्वारा पठाइएकी राक्षसनी पुतनाले आफ्नो विष दलिएको स्तन चुसाउन लाग्दा असफल भई मारिइन् । उनलाई व्रजवासीले जलाई फागु महोत्सव मनाउने परम्परा चलेको पनि धर्मग्रन्थमा उल्लेख गरिएको छ । 

यि दुबै धार्मिक कथाहरूबाट सिक्न सकिने मुख्य पाठ भनेको ” असत्य टिक्दैन सत्य डक्दैन ” भन्ने नै हो । न्यायले अन्याय माथि बिजय प्राप्त गरेको क्षणलाई उजागर गर्ने यो पर्ब वसन्त ऋतुको आगमनसँगै आपसी मेलमिलाप र सद्भावनाको सन्देश लिई आउने र परम्परागत रूपमा विभिन्न रङ र लोला खेली मनाउने परम्परा छ ।

दक्षिणपूर्बी अमेरिकी राज्यहरूमा बसोबास गर्नु हुने सबै नेपालीहरूको साझा संगठन नेपालिज् एसोसियसन ईन साउथईष्ट अमेरिका ( नासा , NASeA) को कार्यकारी समितिको तर्फबाट माथि उल्लेख गरे अनुसार यो पर्बको मुख्य सार बमोजिम हजुरहरू सबैमा आपसि मेलमिलाप बढोस् , सद्भावना जागोस् , सधैं सत्य र न्यायको पक्षधर हुने मौक़ा मिलाओस् भन्दै ख़ुशि र उमंगका साथ यो होली पर्बको हार्दीक मंगलमय शुभकामना ब्यक्त गर्दछौं ।

Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) together with Nepalese Association of Georgia (NAG) cordially invite all Nepali community to participate in the special event organized to celebrate International Women’s Day 2018

International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on March 8^th. This year, International Women’s Day comes with a #PressForProgess with hyped movements like #MeToo,#Timesup, which have inspired different movements in other countries such as #Ana_Kaman,#YoTambien. On this special day, we would like to celebrate social, economic, cultural and political achievements and focus on the obstacle and challenges that is faced around women’s right, equality, and sexual misconduct.

Along with that, NASeA leaders and members, who are unable to make it in Atlanta, please plan the separate event to your reach in collaboration with the national, state and local level organization to take some time to celebrate the achievements and to ponder on the challenges and obstacles.

Please join us in Atlanta on March 10^th from 4 PM to 7 PM at Himalayan Spice for the celebration. Let’s all make this special day a grand success and take some time to think about our contribution to the community and ourselves. This is the time to celebrate our achievements and pave the future roadmap.

Affordable Care Health Insurance Enrollment for 2018!

Enrollment Deadline: 01 Nov 2017 to 15 Dec 2017 

All respected community members,

NASeA region and beyond

Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) is posting this information to remind all community members for the enrollment of Affordable Care Health Insurance. As we know that Affordable Care needs to be enrolled every year on time within the deadline date for the coverage of coming year. Enrollment for the coverage of 2018 opens on 01 November 2017 and ends on 15 December 2017.

Started November 1, you can log in to HealthCare.gov, fill out the application no later than 15 December 2017 and enroll in a 2018 Marketplace health Plan which starts the coverage from 1 January 2018.

This is the shorter enrollment period than previous years, so it is important to act quickly. If you do not act by December 15, you cannot get 2018 coverage unless you are qualifying for special enrollment period.

NASeA also kindly request to all social leaders, state and local organizations to disseminate this information to your respective region/ area to make sure that all needy community members will not miss out this opportunity.

Dear Nepalese Association in Southeast America Community Members and beyond,

We have been working tirelessly since the time of the incident and have not been taking this matter lightly. Following the NASeA/ANMA Joint Convention in Charlotte, we have had multiple emergency meetings to address this extremely important issue.
NASeA is working seriously and tirelessly to resolve this case with the best possible options through our emergency meetings. Finally, the fourth emergency meeting of the Executive Board of NASeA, held on Sept. 23, 2017,  has decided the following:

“The membership of NASEA of Sushil Nepal, is expelled effective from today (Saturday, September 23, 2017) as per the NASeA Bylaws, Article V , para 1 , sub para 1 for disorderly conduct in an Association event and other acts inimical to the image of the Association .”
