Dear ALL Nepalese Community Members and friends of Nepal , 

Greetings from the 16th NASeA/ANMA Joint Convention 2021 Orlando, FL

 It is our great pleasure to inform you, friends, and family that Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) and Association of Nepalese in Mid-West America (ANMA) has officially decided to organize a 16th NASeA/ANMA Joint Convention in Orlando, FL, USA. Both NASeA and ANMA would like to continue the decades old tradition of collaboration and unity to serve the Nepalese Communities in USA. In the event of extraordinary situation faced by world due to COVID 19 pandemic, we realized that the collaboration and unity among the community members are needed more than ever before.

 This historical joint convention is hosted by the Nepalese Association of Florida (NAF) in association with others Neplese based community organizations in Florida including  INLS , Florida Chapter , Nepali Community Center Orlando ( NCCO ) , Newah Organization of America ( NOA ) Florida Chapter, Madhesi Association in America ( MAA) Florida Chapter  , Greater Orlando Lord Buddha Lions Club and NRNA NCC USA , Florida Chapter on Labor Day weekend (Sunday , 5th September 2021) in the magnificent city of Orlando, FL, USA.  

 We would like to cordially invite you all to the Joint Convention 2021 and request you to extend our formal invitation to everyone within your reach.

 The 16th NASeA/ANMA Joint Convention 2021 will be conducted with various programs including the promotion of Nepalese Culture, Public Health, literature, Youth, sports and Women’s empowerment. We are trying our best to bring key members of the Nepali Americans societies to discuss various issues with a Convention Theme “Facing the Future Together”.

Previously , 04 September 2021 Saturday was published as the joint convention date but the NASeA executive board meeting held on 30 June 2021 decided to shift this date to 05 September 2021 , Sunday in same city .

• July 07is the deadline to register to be eligible voters. (Previously it was July 06)
• September 05is the ELECTION DAY. (Previously it was September 04)

Call to Register for the 16th NASeA/ANMA Joint Convention 2021 and Become a Member of Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) by July 6, 2021 

NASeA’s election for the Board of Directors and Officers will be held on September 04, 2021 during the 16th NASeA/ANMA Joint Convention at Orlando, FL.

 As per the Para 7 ARTICLE IX, bylaws of NASeA, only those individuals who are members of NASeA by the midnight of July 6, 2021 would be eligible to contest or vote in the election. (Sept 3 + Aug 31+ July 26=60 days)

 Only following members of NASeA are eligible to contest or vote in this election.

  (a) Valid annual member of NASeA.

 (b) Life members of NASeA.

VERY IMPORTANT NASeA ELECTION TIMELINE for TERM 2021-2023.

Year: 2021, Time Zone: Eastern Standard Time (EST, Washington DC)

July 06: Deadline to register to be eligible voters. Only members who register at or before midnight (2359 PM) or have post-marked dates (if mailing) will be considered eligible for further verification. Anyone registering after this deadline can participate in all other conference activities but will not be able to contest or vote in this election.

 July 16: Current NASeA Executive Committee will provide eligible voters list to Election Commission.

 July 19: Publishing the members and eligible voters list in NASeA website.

 July 27: Deadline for correction if any: Voters can verify their eligibility status from website and can communicate with Election Commission via email if they have any question regarding their eligibility. Individual must provide their Full Name, Address, DOB and Contact Phone so that the commission can contact them if further details are required (July 20 – 27, 2021).

 July 30: Publishing the Final Voters list (after making correction if any) in the NASeA website.

 August 02: General call to all interested members to consider nomination of their candidacy for various open posts in NASeA to serve for the 2021-2023 term.

August 09: Deadline for candidacy filing: Candidates can file their nomination following the appropriate eligibility criteria for interested posts using ONLY the downloadable or fillable forms that will be posted in the NASeA website by this deadline.

 August 10: Publishing the list of candidates in open positions.

 August 14: Withdrawal deadline for Candidates from the post they have filled (August 11- August 14, 2021).

 August 17: Publishing the final candidates list.

 September 04: Election Day!!! 

Each voter is required to produce appropriate Photo ID or other forms of document with his/her photo to verify voter’s identity. Anybody can be denied voting if they do not produce such documents to onsite verification team. Notice with election schedule will be published separately later.

 All official communications with Election Commission including sending of verification list, filing of candidacy and questions must be via: Naseaelection@gmail.com 

We, election Commissioners will not entertain any phone calls from anybody with any personal favors or support regarding this election. We are fully impartial and independent body. As per the rules, regulations under the NASeA’s bylaws, election commission will conduct the election with democratically. It will be fair, unbiased, transparent, and trustworthy. We will try to response your emails in timely manner as much as we can.
