Youth Committee of NASeA Presents: Yoga and Meditation

All youth and students , 

Good Afternoon 

“YOGA AND MEDITATION “ TODAY (04/05/2020)  at 6 PM EST ! 

All those who are interested to follow the yoga and meditation steps are kindly advised to join with comfortable wearing clothes  sitting on mat or carpet . 

The Youth Committee of NASeA is going to organize “ Yoga and Meditation “ session TODAY  at 6 PM EST on Sunday, April 5th via Zoom  and a discussion on stress and coping during this crisis. This Session will be led by Manaswi Sangraula.  The details of zoom link and meeting ID is as under .

Bio of Manaswi Sangraula 

Manaswi is a yoga instructor who received her certification in Washington DC. She has been teaching yoga for over 5 years. She has taught to a variety of populations including to adolescents, seniors, and survivors of domestic violence. She has taught in yoga studios in Washington DC, NYC and Kathmandu, Nepal. Manaswi is passionate about health and wellness and is current completing her PhD in public mental health.

NASeA wishes to be safe ourselves and help to save others from COVID-19

Respected Community Members, 

Good Evening 

“ Prevention is better than cure “

Almost the entire world is under threat of pandemic due to coronavirus . The number of affected new cases and death toll due to this deadly virus is being skyrocketed sharply .Even though the number looks scary but the preventive measures are very simple and can be followed easily . Every authentic international and national health organizations and websites including World Health Organization ( WHO) , Center for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC) , and Coronavirus.gov  are focusing on following effective preventive measures . Nepalese Association in Southeast America ( America ) kindly request you all respected community members to follow these basic protective measures against this new Coronavirus .

  1. Wash your hands frequently Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub  or wash them with soap and water.
  2. Maintain social distancing Maintain at least 6 feet distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. 
  3. Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth Hands touch many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contaminated, hands can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick
  4. Practice respiratory hygiene Make sure you, and the people around you, follow good respiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. Then dispose of the used tissue immediately.
  5. If you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care early Stay home if you feel unwell. If you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical attention and call in advance. Follow the directions of your local health authority.
  6. Stay informed and follow advice given by your healthcare provider Stay informed on the latest developments about COVID-19. Follow advice given by your healthcare provider, your national and local public health authority or your employer on how to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.
