Position: Case Manager for Ongoing Services

General Job Description: Under the direction of the Resettlement Program Manager, the Case Manager for Ongoing Services is responsible for overseeing the provision of Information & Referral (I&R) and Social Adjustment Services to RRISA clients

Supervisor: Resettlement Program Manager

Key Reporting Relationships: Senior Case Manager and Georgia Department of Human Services

Job Requirements:

* Proven written and verbal English communication skills

* Access to reliable transportation

* Ability to problem solve

* Flexibility and ability to multi-task

* Ability to work in a team to achieve goals

* Proficiency in Karen or Nepali language strongly preferred

Required Education and Experience

* Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from the US or an overseas institution preferred

* Previous experience working with multi-cultural populations

Overall Job Responsibilities

Specific and ongoing duties will include but not be limited to:

* Provide I&R and social adjustment case management services for RRISA clients

* Work with case management team and AmeriCorps members to ensure that appropriate staff are integrating I&R and social adjustment services into their client case management and that they are appropriately documenting those services

* Maintain case files and ensure that proper case notes and documentation are kept for each I&R and social adjustment service

* Collect data from other RRISA staff on I&R and social adjustment services provided

* Monitor service provision goals and help staff to reach targets

* Conduct outreach to other agencies to recruit clients for I&R and social adjustment services

* Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and semi-annual reports

* Attend all required meetings and trainings

* Other duties as assigned

Position: Case Aide

General Job Description: The Case Aide is responsible for assisting case managers in the resettlement of refugees and providing social adjustment services for them as they acclimate to life in the U.S. and gain self-sufficiency.

Supervisor: Resettlement Program Manager

Key Reporting relationship: Senior Case Manager

Job Requirements:

* Ability to understand and empower refugees as they transition to new lives in the U.S.

* Proven written and verbal English communication skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Flexibility and ability to multi-task

* Ability to problem solve

* Proficiency in Karen or Nepali language strongly preferred

Required Education and Experience:

* High school diploma required (earned in the U.S. or overseas), some college preferred

* Previous experience working with multi-cultural populations

Overall Job Responsibilities:

Specific and ongoing duties will include but not be limited to:

* Assist case managers to ensure the smooth transition of newly arriving refugees (including apartment set-up and basic needs check list, grocery shopping, purchasing culturally appropriate meals and airport pick-up)

* Under guidance of case manager, assist with all 30-day required services, including but not limited to: interpretation, cultural orientation, DFCS applications, health screenings, school and ESL registration, social security applications, home visits, health appointments shopping, budgeting, etc.

* Help provide ongoing cultural and social adjustment services, including health appointments, home management, emergency services, follow-up, information and referral, and interpretation

* Work closely with RRISA employment staff to facilitate job placements for clients

* Assist case managers in maintaining accurate case files, case note logs, and required paperwork

* Keep data needed to complete all reports for client 30, 90 and 180 day reports, as well as DHR and other monthly reports

* Attend all required meetings and trainings

* Other duties as assigned
