NASeA Monthly Talk Session for July
Topic: Major Health Problems in Nepal
NASeA Public Relations Committee is proud to announce the Monthly Talk
Session on Social, Immigration, Health and other issues that concerns
Nepalese in the Southeast America region as well as in Nepal.
The first of such monthly talk session will be held this Sunday, July
11 on the following topic related to health and its determinants for
which the speakers are the experts who are currently on official visit
from Nepal.
The talk session will be held over the phone so that everyone in NASeA
region are able to participate. But those in Atlanta are invited to
attend in person in the venue below. The conference call info is given

NASeA public relations committee is proud to bring Khagendra GC,
Attorney at Law in New York for its Monthly Talk Session over the
telephone conference to talk on current immigrations issues concerning
Nepalese in the US and to answer your questions. Khagendra G.C.
received LL. M. from Columbia University, New York and Juris Doctor
(J.D.) from Fordham University, New York City. He is the first Nepali
to be a member of American Bar and has been a member of New York State
Bar since 1987. He has also been admitted to the Supreme Court of the
United States, and has worked for the New York City Human Rights
Commission as its Assistant General Counsel.
During the talk session, Khagendra GC will highlight immigration
issues that relates and concerns Nepalese living in the US. He will
also take questions and discuss them following his talk. The talk
session will be held via tele-conference. Please use the above call-in

Numerous participants from many parts of the United States joined in
the talk session for August that NASeA held today on immigration
issues conducted over telephone conference. The speaker of this
month’s session was Attorney Khagendra GC who gave highlights on
current immigration issues facing Nepalese in the United States. He
answered questions that call participants had and also discussed
questions that people sent via email.

It is our great pleasure to announce that Nepalese Association of Georgia (NAG) is hosting 8thJoint Convention of Nepalese Association in Southeast America (NASeA) and Association of Nepalese in Midwest America (ANMA) in Atlanta, Georgia during Labor Day weekend September 2-5, 2011 at hotel Marriott at Century Center.

We are celebrating the years of successful collaboration between the two regional organizations NASeA and ANMA. This convention is also the 21st NASeA Convention and 28th ANMA Convention. This partnership has played vital role in championing several issues important to Nepali Diaspora.
The Convention will bring together hundreds Nepalese in the Southeast and Midwest America to participate in a range of currently relevant topics and issues, including, but not limited to healthcare, common investments, children’s program, youth programs, Nepali language, literature and school, cultural center, saving the Himalayas, tourism and cultural promotion, women’s issues, indigenous issues, leadership development, immigration, tax etc.
Many United States and Nepalese dignitaries will address the convention to inspire us, motivate us and unite us in a common cause of collective and individual human development. The convention will also provide opportunities to get together, renew friendship, meet long lost friends.
The convention will also showcase entertaining cultural program performed by new and emerging talents from the growing Nepali diaspora. Both the organizations, NASeA and ANMA, as well as NAG are committed to continue the effort to uplift our community. With our open arms we invite you to participate in the vibrant and bustling convention.
